USTA and USTA Texas have adopted a simplified nationwide structure beginning in 2021. This structure will create a standardized system and greater consistency for our players, parents, coaches, tournament directors and officials.
One of those options is TGA Premier Youth Tennis, which makes tennis accessible by bringing a unique teaching curriculum to pre-K to 8th-grade students at their schools. Using modified equipment and lesson plans developed by tennis professionals along with education industry experts, TGA provides the building blocks for future achievement on the court and in life.
Youth Tennis Programs. Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, pre-registration is required for all lessons. Drop-ins will not be accepted at this time. Georgetown Parks and Recreation offers year-round tennis lessons for children ages 4 to 18. Our Youth Tennis programs not only teach the fundamentals, but develop techniques to increase stamina and skills.

Tennis. Quick Start Tennis is a USTA program that is designed to actually get kids playing the game of tennis faster! Jr. Quick Start Tennis: Ages 5 - 7. Quick Start Tennis: Ages 8 - 11. Youth Drill and Play: Ages 9 - 13. Junior Development: Instructor Approval. Adult Drill and Play: Ages 16 and up.
